Poor Conversion Rate For Amazon Associates Program - Make $0.30 June 22, 2008

It’s been more than 6 months since I stopped giving tuition. I am currently a full time blogger managing multiple niche blogs. Though my income is still less than $1,000 monthly, I have faith that I can make more than $1,000 in near future.
I still have faith and hope in Amazon Associates Program even though I made only $0.30 in June! In May, I managed to make $30.99.
$0.30 … unbelievable! There were hundreds of clicks, but there was only one sale. I guess there are 3 possible reasons that explain the poor conversion rate (0.56%):
1. My traffic of various niche blogs has gone down tremendously these few weeks.
2. With the current slow economy, people’s spending habits have changed. A lot of people have maxed out their home equity credit lines, and are spending cash only and earlier in the month, and then trying to pinch pennies to get by.
3. I may have targeted the wrong group of people.
I will keep on embedding product links into my blog posts. Who knows? Maybe my traffic picks up again or my SEO skills improve. Don’t give up too soon.

My buddy asked how I made it. Honestly, I just keep sowing seeds on my multiple niche blogs. I sell all types of products ranging from Jessica Simpson boots, Feed shopping bags, fresh pearl necklaces, to baby diapers, home security alarms to waste baskets.
But I can tell you who inspired me to give Amazon.com a try. I picked tips on how to make cash and money from her — Paula Neal Mooney. She made more than $2,000 from Amazon.com in 6 weeks! You know, $2,000 means RM6,280 in Malaysia.
Be prepared to work hard, though. You need to do research, analyze keywords, sign up Amazon Associates programs around the world, and think globally.
I have already signed up Amazon Associates US, UK and Germany. But I haven’t started my money making projects for the Amazon UK and Germany yet. Why?
The main reason is that I am very busy trying out ClickBank at the moment. I have been waiting for more than 5 years for ClickBank to reopen to Malaysians!

Of course, I hope that I can reap as much commissions as possible. Do I target any specific products? No, I try every sort of products: Jessica Simpson boots, Marc Jacobs sunglasses, Gucci handbags to Calvin Klein’s men briefs, electric toothbrushes, kitchenwares to wastebaskets.
I don’t know which item will sell, so I just place whatever item I like on my multiple niche blogs. What about Jessica Simpson boots? Honestly, I haven’t sold any Jessica Simpson Boots
Sell More Than 6 Items, Get 6% In Referral Fees April 18, 2008

Last month, I made only $4.84 from Amazon Associates Program. I guess I will make more cash and money this month. To date, I have made more than $10. There is possibility that I can hit $20 for April!
So far, picking products from Amazon.com to be placed in my multiple niche blogs is a very pleasant daily task. Sometimes, I focus on jewelry and handbags. There are times when I just feel like finding men’s briefs, fragrance or kitchenwares.
There are simply too many products to choose from Amazon.com that I haven’t felt bored yet.

The main reason is that for every US dollar I make, I can get RM3.16. Imagine if I make USD$100! That means RM316. I could make more than US $1,500 from multiple niche blogs last year! US $1,500 = RM 4,740.
For the time being, I can only make less than $800 monthly online. My goal is to make more than $1,500, $1,800 or even more.

Believe me, some bloggers advised me to give up on Amazon.com when I told them I am now trying Amazon.com on my multiple niche blogs to see if I can make money online. Are you making money from Amazon.com too?
$2.52 - Earnings From Amazon Associates - Have Faith, Love & Hope January 27, 2008

After all my money making niche blogs were smacked with big zero in November, my income online dropped from more than $1,800 to less than $800 now. I used to make more than $1,500, $1,800 …
Anyway, I have picked up again. With God’s help, I hope that my new project is working well. I am an Amazon Associate now. Let’s see if I can make money from there. So far, I have made $2.52! This is definitely encouraging. Have faith that it’s working!
